From Louise Neave

Good Afternoon.

I hope you are all enjoying the final celebrations of the school year and are looking forward to Christmas and the holiday break. I would like to take this opportunity to say farewell to the Beaumaris Primary School community. I have had the privilege of working with wonderful students, staff and families during the past 8 years and although I am really looking forward to my new journey as Principal at Sandringham Primary school, I will miss you all. Staying within our Beachside Network of schools is a great opportunity for me to keep in touch with Beaumaris Primary and all the exciting things you are up to. I thank you all and wish you and your families an very happy Christmas and a safe and restful holiday.

Louise Neave

To all parents, carers and their families:  best wishes for the holiday season

On behalf of all the staff at Beaumaris Primary School we extend best wishes to all families for a safe and restful holiday season. We hope you have a relaxing holiday and return refreshed ready for another exciting year.

Congratulations to all Year 6 Graduates

On Monday evening parents, carers, extended families, students and teachers came together to celebrate the achievement of another milestone for our Year 6 students. Thank you to Miss Lauren Cooper, Ms Lindy McManus and Mrs Jenny Fildes for preparing a memorable evening for the students and their families. It was a magical night.

Our students leave with a sound academic foundation, a belief in themselves and a belief that learning can and should be fun.

Thank you also to the group of Year 6 parents who spent time decorating the SALC and organising supper, supported by Year 5 parents on the night. Thank you also to Cath Lamb, our Business Manager for all her work behind the scenes.

To all our Year 6 students good luck next year! You should be very proud of your achievements and the contributions you have made to school life at Beaumaris Primary. We look forward to seeing you at the Class of 2019 reunion in 2020.

To the families who are leaving BPS, as their youngest child has now completed Year 6, we wish you well.  We thank you for your contributions to the school over the years.

Beaumaris PS Yearbook 2019

Today the 2019 BPS Yearbook has been sent home to those families who purchased one earlier in the year.   We hope our families enjoy the special moments that have been captured during the year.  Thank you to Miss Volkov for managing the production of the yearbook. It is a fabulous record of another wonderful year at BPS.

Thank you to all staff for your commitment to our students and the school

Every day all who work at BPS, the teachers, the administration team and our support staff, collectively contribute either directly or indirectly to the education of your child.  They enjoy the collegiality of their co-workers and the challenge of their profession.

We greatly value their commitment to our clear focus on student academic achievement, engagement and wellbeing.

On a daily basis they actively contribute to making each day  a great experience for the students and their enthusiasm ensures the effective operation of the school.  We thank them for their professionalism and sense of fun woven in to all that they do each and every day.

Thank you to the Parent Community

Your contribution makes this school a great place for our students to learn and develop. Parents generously support the teachers, and the school overall, in so many ways. We are truly grateful for all that you do.

Thank you to School Council, Finance Committee, Education Committee, Buildings & Grounds Committee, Marketing and Communications Committee, Grants Committee, Canteen, BFAC, Scholastic Book Club, Clothing Recycling, Parent Club and Class Representatives, the Fete Committee, Gardening Club, and the huge team of parent helpers who assist in so many ways. The partnership is strong and enriches the school.

Quote of the Week: Gratitude

“Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses.” —Alphonse Karr  Nineteenth century French critic, journalist, and novelist.

Gratitude and Mindfulness

What are three things that went well for you today?

What are the best things that happened to you today?

Who are you most grateful for and why?

What are you looking forward to most about tomorrow?
