Senior School
Welcome to the Senior School in 2019
We would like to extend a warm welcome back to all of our students and families in the Senior School at Weeden Heights for 2019. It has been a fantastic start to the year highlighted by our Swimming Sports Day, which was enjoyed by all students. We are looking forward to a busy and outstanding year, and look forward to meeting everyone in the upcoming Getting to Know You interviews.
Night of the Notables
This term our inquiry studies will be all about the history of Australia. As a part of our investigations
into the history of Australia, the senior school students will be researching the life of a notable Australian and presenting their findings in a Night of the Notables presentation evening. There will more detailed information to come.
Inter-school Sport
Just a reminder that Inter-School Sport will commence on Friday March 15th. Dates and games are as follows;
- Round 1 - Friday 15th February - Home Game - Weeden Heights vs Holy Saviour
- Round 2 – 22nd February - Away Game - Jells Park vs Weeden Heights
- Round 3 – 1st March - Away Game - Mount Waverley Nth vs Weeden Heights
- Round 4– 8th March - Home Game - Weeden Heights vs Albany Rise
- Round 5– 15th March - Away Game - St Scholasticas vs Weeden Heights
Stephanie Alexander Kitchen & Garden Program
Once again in 2019, Weeden Heights will be offering the hugely successful Stephanie Alexander Kitchen and Garden Program. Students will further develop their gardening and sustainability skills. In the kitchen, we will continue to cook new recipes using produce from our garden. For the program to be a success, we again ask for parent or guardian volunteers to come and assist. If you can spare any time at all this term, your help is greatly appreciated. Classes will run from the following times starting in Week 4.
Mondays: 5/6M Kitchen 11:30 - 12:50
5/6K Kitchen 2:10 - 3:30
Tuesdays: 5/6K Garden 9:00 - 9:40
5/6M Garden 10:20 - 11:00
