9 & 10

Ms. Laura Forster

This week we were able to have face to face year level assemblies for the first time since March this year.

What a delight it was to see the year 9 and 10 students in person, rather then through Teams, as we had held them amidst Covid restrictions. The messages that the student managers delivered centered around making the most of  the remaining learning opportunities  for this year, whilst taking the time to re establish routines of self care and resilience in this time of transitioning into what is becoming known as the new “Covid normal”. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain goals for the future are an important life skill for all. Students were reminded of the well -being support networks here at the school, and I encourage parents who have concerns regarding their children to reach out to our wellbeing team, which includes Tony Wilkinson and Michael McDonald, student managers, and Laz Zaekis and Amanda Dipasquantonio (wellbeing support) .

Thank you to the wonderful  year 9 Advance students, who unperturbed by Thursday heat undertook several beautification programs around the school. The projects look magnificent.

I have the pleasure in announcing the successful applicants for the Senior School Scholarships 2021.  The scholarships come in the form of financial support through year 10,11 and 12.

These scholarships are awarded to students who display the LSC values of Pride, Achievement, Caring, Cooperation and Honesty,  This year I am excited to announce the successful recipients are,

Community Leadership : Brain Al Fook,

Academic Excellence : Leila Hoblos, Allen Tran, Ishika Ram and Michelle Nguyen.

Leadership : Katerina Piromalis , Milan Grmusa

and Sporting Endeavour : Zane Souleiman.

All recipients will be receiving a letter from the college shortly, and recognition of these awards will acknowledged in upcoming assemblies.

Congratulations to all recipients.
