Alisha Fox- Aboriginal Education Teacher

Last week, Scott Rathman from Rusted Tin Contemporary Aboriginal Artists has completed his work on the Junior Primary fence. It represents the beach, sand dunes and where the sea meets the plains. It also includes some flora and fauna. The mural and shipping containers sure do brighten up our school. Our students enjoyed watching Scott's creation and are now exploring and experimenting with having a go at making their own pieces of art, using his techniques.

Thank you Scott, for your wonderful work.

This week is NAIDOC Week. This is an opportunity for all Australians to come together to celebrate the rich history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the oldest continuing cultures on the planet. At LNPS we will be celebrating by sharing stories, learning Kaurna language, creating art, participating in yarning circles,  learning more about culture and our shared history.
