Year 10 Balinese Inspired Furniture Project

Year 12 Systems Students have produced some fabulous work during this difficult year, reports proud teacher Mr Currie. Some highlights are shown here, showcasing the fantastic skills the students have developed. 

 

Ed Fuggle

  • Successfully completed a CNC router machine, utilizing 3d printed parts, and aluminium framing.
  • Is able to design and cut professional grade parts for engineering and modelling

 

Harry Wooldridge 

  • Successfully completed a prosthetic hand utilizing 3d printed parts and stepper motors
  • Uses computer programming to produce hand gestures, some more humorous than others

 

Year 8 Systems

 

The Rube Goldberg Project – Being locked down, didn’t stop the creativity happening… 

 

A Rube Goldberg machine is intentionally designed to perform a simple task in an indirect and overly complicated way. Usually, these machines consist of a series of simple unrelated devices; the action of each triggers the initiation of the next, eventually resulting in achieving a stated goal. Well done
