Term 4 Art

Over the past few weeks back in the classroom, our Junior Arts classes have been busy working in mediums not easily accessible from home. Visual Arts classes have been sculpting in clay and modrock, while others have been busily printmaking using lino and other materials. In Visual Communication Design, Year 9 students have constructed creative interior design models.

The Arts team will be introducing a number of Enhancement Classes in 2021 for students with an interest in Art, Design, and Media. These include Art Enrichment, Maker Space, and News Team. Students are encouraged to look online for more information and discuss your interest with your Art, Media, or Visual Communication Design teacher. 

This semester, Year 10 Cartooning and Illustration students have produced large-scale caricatures using a grid enlargement technique. As part of this task, students also explored pencil theory through the application of a range of leads in varying grades. The final illustrations are fantastic examples of celebrity caricatures, well done Year 10!
