Feedback

Thank you to all the staff, students and parents who have taken the time to fill in our version of the CEMSIS. Your feedback will help us to lead the College in 2021.

It was wonderful to meet and talk with the parents who came to the Zoom Parent Forum about our School Improvement Goals. We are working on the final document for presentation to the school community in 2021.

Awards Assemblies

During the final student day for 2020, we will be holding the Awards Assemblies to recognise student effort and achievement. The main academic awards to be presented on the day are:

  • Application & Diligence Awards: Application and Diligence Awards are given to students in Year 7 to 12 in acknowledgement of their overall effort. The award is given to students who achieve nominations in at least 50% of their classes across their year of study.
  • Academic Excellence Awards: The Academic Excellence in Learning Award is given to the top ten students in Years 7 to 11 and acknowledges students who are achieving overall grades of an excellent standard. Laurel subjects and students undertaking VCE acceleration have their results weighted more heavily to acknowledge the greater degree of difficulty.
  • D’Astoli Trophy:  Named in honour of Nazareth College’s founding principal, the D’Astoli Trophy is awarded to one student in each of Years 7 to 11 and acknowledges the top-ranked academic student in each of Years 7 to 11.

And Finally….

What a year it has been to take on a role leading learning! I am glad that I did not know what 2020 had in stock for us. I want to thank every member of the Nazareth community for the way that we have worked together to keep on learning and growing in 2020. We have all learnt so many things: how to use Google Classroom, how to use Zoom, how to keep our spirits up, how to support each other, how to be resilient, and the list goes on. I think that most importantly, we have learnt the importance of personal interaction and relationships. I look forward to working with you in 2021.
