Jess Mosely

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I’m a day girl currently living in Orange, and my family also owns a farming enterprise in Cobar in western NSW which I love heading home to every holidays.

 

What is your favourite subject? Food? Film? Sport? TV series?

Favourite subject: Economics.

Favourite food: Kiwi fruit.

Favourite film: Man from Snowy River, War Horse or Fast and Furious.  

Favourite sport: Netball.

Favourite TV series: Friends, the 100.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

Mum and dad have always been my heros and my whole family have always inspired me from a young age.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

Wicked.

 

What is your dream job?

Still figuring it out but would love to do something the field of agricultural economics at the moment.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I’m so excited to work with the prefect team and everyone within the school to make a welcoming school environment and bring back a strong and positive school environment and culture. I can’t wait to get to know everyone in the school better and learn more everyday.  


James Thompson

 

Where are you from?

I am a day student and was born in Sydney and moved to Orange in 2011.

 

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

Favourite subject: Biology.

Favourite food: Ice Cream Sandwich.

Favourite film: Coach Carter or Soul Surfer.

Favourite sport: Basketball.

Favourite TV series: The Last Dance.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

James O'Connor or Benji Marshall.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure? 

Tommy Emmanuel or Movie Soundtracks.

 

What is your dream job?

Work in Nike’s design or marketing team.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I’m really looking forward to meeting loads of new people and striving to improve their schooling experience. I’m also excited to work with the prefect team and to see all students get involved in what Kinross has to offer.


Ella Andrews

 

Hi, my name is Ella and I’m the Deputy Head Girl for 2020/2021!

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I’m a day student from Borenore.

 

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

Favourite subject: English.  

Favourite food: My mums apple shortcake slice.

Favourite film: Pride and Prejudice, 2005 (but I am a massive Harry Potter nerd)

Favourite sport: Soccer.

Favourite TV series: The West Wing and Doctor Who.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

Hermione Granger and Jo March.  

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

Simon and Garfunkel.

 

What is your dream job?

Winning Oscars and doing something creative.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader for 2020/2021?

Getting to know everyone, I love to have a chat so I’m excited to meet people from Year 7-12. As the prefect team we are all excited to make change and progress for our school in 2020/2021!


William Rawson  

 

Where are you from?

I’ve lived in Orange for my entire life and attended KWS since Pre-Prep. I am a day student. 

 

What is your favourite subject?

It varies from time to time but currently I like German the most.  

 

What is your favourite food? 

That’s a tough question, although it would definitely be something savoury. I guess I’d have to say either Ramen, Chicken Korma, or Bolognese.  

 

What is your favourite film? 

The hardest part here is remembering all of the films I’ve seen! I really liked La La Land, but it's hard to go past the Harry Potter series.  

 

What is your favourite sport? 

To watch, either AFL or Ice Hockey. To play, tennis.  

 

What is your favourite TV series? 

Doctor Who, Pride and Prejudice, or Sherlock. Weirdly all from the BBC.  

 

Who was your childhood hero? 

I never really had one, although I was always inspired by my older sister.  

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure? 

Renai Circulation.

 

What is your dream job? 

Well I’ve always wanted to be a doctor of some kind, and at the moment I’m interested in Radiology, although that could very well change.  

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21? 

Working on my personability and hopefully getting to know each student in the school. Oh, and I want to run vertical study/tutoring sessions if at all possible!  


Bethany Bell

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I am a boader from Wellington NSW.

 

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

Favourite subject: Probably hospitality.

Favourite food: Mums chicken pasta bake!

Favourite film: The Hate U Give.

Favourite sport: Basketball.

Favourite TV series: Either the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or On My Block.

 

Who was your childhood hero? 

I don’t particularly remember having a childhood hero although I have always looked up to both my mum and my dad as they have been my biggest inspirations.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure? 

It would have to be One Direction, for sure!

 

What is your dream job? 

Just being my own boss, either in business or law.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21? 

I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the leadership team, listening to everyone’s different views and opinions and helping pave the way for change.


Ziggy Jackson Le Couteur  

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I live in Bathurst and I’m a day-bug.

 

What is your favourite subject? Food? Film? Sport? TV series?  

My favourite subject is Extension English. My favourite food is pizza. My favourite movie is Ratatouille and my favourite TV show is Peaky Blinders.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

My childhood hero was Spiderman.

 

What is your dream job?

My dream job is to be an architect.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

As a leader in 2020/21 I am looking forward to developing connections with students in other year groups and working with the leadership team to help the school become a better place for everyone.


Emily L’Estrange

 

Where are you from? 

I’ve lived in Orange for the past 12 years of my life and I’m a day student.  

 

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

My favourite sport is tied between netball and Water polo, my favourite subject is German, and my favourite movie is one of my childhood movies Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

 

Who was your childhood hero? 

My childhood hero would have to be Emma Watson because of her push for feminism and equality as well as her character Hermione in Harry Potter.  

 

What is your music guilty pleasure? 

My favourite music for any occasion is the Spirit (favourite movie) soundtrack by Bryan Adams and Hans Zimmer.  

 

What is your dream job? 

My dream job is to work as a translator for the United Nations or being a tour guide anywhere in Europe just living locally and speaking the language.  

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I’m looking forward to creating better student teacher relationships, hearing the student’s perspective on issues, and improving Kinross’ culture.  


Zac Lewis

 

Where are you from?

I am a day student from Millthorpe and have lived there my entire life.

 

What is your favourite subject?

My favourite subject would have to be either Legal Studies or Biology due to my desire to pursue careers in both of these field.

 

What is your favourite food?

My favourite food would have to be sushi or almost anything Japanese.  

 

What is your favourite Film?

I don’t really have a favourite film, however a film I enjoy no matter how many times I watch it is “I, Tonya”.

 

What is your favourite sport?

My favourite sport to partake in is swimming and waterpolo.

 

What is your favourite TV series?

A TV series that I am currently really enjoying is Ratched on Netflix.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

My childhood hero was the entire Mystery incorporated team from Scooby Doo.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

I secretly listen to 80’s music after pretending not to like older music.

 

What is your dream job?

I have two dream jobs however they are both extremely different. One being to become a representative in congress and the other is to work as a biologist.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

What I’m looking forward to as a student leader is the ability to express the needs of the students and what they would like to see come from their education to further improve our school. With this in mind I would also like to represent every student in our schooling community whether they be day bugs or boarders of any other varying factor. I know I am going to enjoy further developing our incredible school to make it an even more inclusive and respectful experience for all those involved.


Phoebe Litchfield

Favourite subject: Drama.

Favourite food: Chocolate.

Favourite film: Hunger games.

Favourite TV series: Money heist.

Cathy freeman.

 

What is your guilty musical pleasure?

Hamilton.

 

What is your dream job?

Movie star.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

To be able to give back to the school and inspire every single student to be better versions of themselves and to enjoy school.


Jin Luechai

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

Boarder since year 7 From Mascot Sydney, born in Bangkok, Thailand.

 

What is your favourite subject? Food? Film? Sport? TV series?

Favourite subject has got to be chemistry, not the best at it but really enjoy it.

Favourite food without a doubt is sushi.

Favourite film either Shawshank redemption or Focus.

Favourite sport is basketball and I enjoy rugby as well.

Favourite TV series at the moment is Umbrella Academy.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

Lightning McQueen.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

Classical music, listening to classical music always puts me in a good mood.

 

What is your dream job?

Travel/explore and interact with different people and cultures ,if that is a job ?

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

Interacting with all year groups, getting to know everyone and working with the prefect team to make positive changes to the school culture and community.


Jemma Luelf

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

Favourite subject: PD.

Favourite sport: Hockey.

Favourite food: Spag bol.

Favourite show or film: Bondi rescue.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

My Dad.

 

What is your dream job?

Paramedic & Firefighter.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader for 2020/2021?

To be seeing everyone getting involved in all aspects of school and having fun.


Josie Mitchell

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

Day student.

 

What is your favourite subject, food, film, sport, TV series?

Favourite subject: Textiles.

Favourite film: 10 things I Hate About You.

Favourite sport: Basketball.

Favourite TV series: Friends.

 

Who is your childhood hero?

Spiderman.

Annie or High School Musical.

 

What is your dream job?

Something creative and exciting.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I’m looking forward to working together as a team to create positive improvements and engaging activities for the students, as well as being a friendly face around the school.


Bella Scammell

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I am a boarder from Cowra, and I live on the PLC site in lovely New House.  

 

What is your favourite subject?  

Either PDHPE or Economics. I have always been really passionate about health and fitness and love sport, so PDHPE has always been something that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Economics I find challenging, but super interesting, especially during a global pandemic.  

 

What is your favourite food?

Definitely mango.

 

What is your favourite film?

Mammia Mia.

 

What is your favourite sport?

Rowing.

 

What is your favourite TV Series?

Suits.

 

Who was your childhood hero?

Before I came to KWS in Year 7, I loved and was pretty serious about my swimming. So, the Campbell sisters, Cate and Bronte were my inspirations/childhood hero’s.  

 

What is your guilty musical pleasure?

One direction :)

 

What is your dream job?

I would love to open a Women’s Health Centre in country NSW, focused around Women’s Health and Wellbeing in the bush. Coming from a rural community and having always been passionate about health and fitness, opening a centre that caters for all aspects of women’s health would be a dream. The centre would house a women’s gym with personal trainers, nutritionists, GP’s, psychologists and physio’s just to name a few.  

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I am so excited to meet so many more people of all ages and stages at KWS and develop lasting friendships with them. I am looking forward to everything that is to come in my final year of school, all while hopefully having a positive impact on KWS – it’s students, staff and wonderful community both now and in the future.


Charlie Southwell

 

Where are you from? Day or Boarder?

I’m a daybug and I live at Mullion Creek, about 20 minutes north of Orange.

 

What is your favourite subject? Food? Film? Sport? TV series?

My favourite subject is a tie between maths and biology.

Favourite food is probably a really good cheese platter.

Favourite film of all time is “The Empire Strikes Back.”

Favourite sport is soccer.

Favourite TV show is “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

 

Who was your childhood hero?

My grandpa, because even though we don’t agree on everything, he’s the most decent man I know, and he inspires me to be the same.

 

What is your musical guilty pleasure?

I don’t know about guilty, but most of my music is kind of folky. The more banjo the better.

 

What is your dream job?

The absolute dream would be playing soccer for a premier league team, but the more realistic one is to be an architect.

 

What are you looking forward to as a leader in 2020/21?

I’m really looking forward to making whatever changes I can to the school a more enjoyable place to be, as well as to give a voice to everyone, and listen to everyone’s concerns and ideas.

 

It’s a great opportunity, and I’ll be doing everything I can to make the most of it.
