Gowrie NSW - OSHC

Our first week of operation at the Gowrie NSW Kinross Wolaroi OSHC program was  a busy and wonderful week. We have been setting up the room with exciting new resources and building relationships with our new children, families and the Kinross community.

Our week has been filled with puzzles, board games, nature craft, Lego, art, experiments and we are also celebrating Gowrie NSWs 80th birthday!

If you need more information about getting your children into before or after school care please contact Phone: 0427 490 914 Email: OSHC.Kinross@gowriensw.com.au

Full STEAM ahead - Coding and Robotics in the Junior School

We have been delighted with the interest and participation of students at Code Club in Term 3. Code Club uses a hands-on and engaging approach to introduce students to the basics of coding. We use a range of resources including Spheros, Makey Makeys, Ozobots, Bee Bots and other online coding apps.

Code Club will continue in Term 4, every Friday from 3.30- 5.30pm.

We are also excited to launch a Robotics group for students in Years 5 & 6. Students will be using EV3 Lego Mindstorms to solve complex coding challenges. There will be free ‘taster’ sessions on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtime in Ms Dodson’s classroom in Week 2 for any student in Stage 3 who might be interested. Robotics will then commence on Thursday afternoons from 3.30-5.30pm.

If you would like to sign up for Code Club or Robotics, please register your child through Gowrie After School Care. Information for registering is available on the KWS website.
