We wish all our leaders good luck 😁

Talking about leaders… On Tuesday the School Captains, House Captains and Environmental and Wellbeing Leaders went to a Leadership Conference. There we learnt a lot about leadership and ways to be a good leader.

We would like to share a few tips and tricks about leadership with you.

  1. Always think about others before yourself.  We played a game at the leadership conference where we gave our opinion about the prompt that came up on the screen. When “do you like paper straws” came up, most people said that they do not like them, as they dissolve when you use them. But if we thought about others first, we might realise that in the future, people might be saved by this invention as it uses paper instead of plastic. Be an others first leader!
  2.  Follow the 4 H’s.   You're probably wondering, “what are the 4 H’s?” They are: Hear others opinions, Help with the little things, Happiness and Humility. Showing these values won’t only help you in leadership, but in life as well.
  3. Never ramble on about your Ideas.  When you want to share an idea with a teacher or somebody else, you need to make sure you TAKE IT SLOWLY! If you explain your idea too fast, the listener can get overwhelmed and not understand a word you are saying. You also need to make the why clear.
