  • We urgently need foster carers in our areas to care for children and young people in need to of foster home until they can return to their families.
  • We are actively seeking carers from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and family types – singles, couples, with or without children, including same sex couples to provide safe, nurturing, and stable homes for children and young people unable to live safely with their families. We also want people to know that foster carers work as part of a care team, and this means they can continue to work in their full time or part time jobs.
  • As the need for child protection services increases, so too does the urgent need for more carers.  All children and young people have the need to belong. When we are dealing with children in care, the ability to connect a child or young person to culture and language is vitally important and provides a fantastic foundation for becoming a carer. The impacts of instability in a young person’s life and how their lives can turn around for the better with the right home, guidance, and nurture. The difference foster care makes.
  • LWB provide care for children and young people requiring general, intensive and complex care placements, including emergency and respite care. Our service delivery model focuses on the individual needs of each child or young person as they change over time.
