End of Term 1

As the holidays draw near, we reflect on a busy term filled with focused learning and many learning opportunities. A highlight this term has been the various historical excursions around town that the Years 3 - 6 have participated in. We thank the local historical society and RSL for hosting our students. Naplan testing progressed smoothly, as did all the other assessments that students participated in. The school received a generous grant for library regeneration from the Bendigo Bank, and we are still busy processing and covering more than 300 books. In our Out of Hours School program, we saw numbers expand, and it is great to see our community taking advantage of this. Vacation Care is running for the first time these holidays, and it is pleasing to see that some of the days are already fully booked. Our Transition Program launched this term, and we look forward to more visits from our Kinder children. Next term Amy Ellis will begin our Playgroup sessions on Friday mornings. Please feel free to share this, as it is open to all families in Numurkah and the surrounding district.

School Uniform Term 2

Now that summer has ended and we move into Autumn, just a reminder that it is important that children wear the correct uniform to school. If families need assistance with uniforms, please call the school, and a member of our Wellbeing Team will assist. Hoodies and footy shorts are definitely not part of our uniform, students who choose to wear shorts need to make sure they are clearly visible when wearing their tops. Ideally, they should come halfway down their thighs to be appropriate for school. We understand that sometimes a jumper is lost or in the wash, and on these one-off occasions, we ask that parents write a note or send a message to the classroom teacher.

Also, we extend an invitation to come and join us at our last assembly Thursday morning at 9.15 in the P-2 building. We have awards, singing, dancing and student speeches.

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, don't eat too much chocolate!

Regards
