Leaders and SRC Meeting Week 5

  • Sports shed - equipment returned as soon as the bell rings. Student school leaders should not have to collect equipment left in the yard. 
  • ICY POLES - very popular!! Will be sold at snack on Tuesday- ONLY one icy pole per student- unless buying for a sibling. Student leaders need to be down to collect icy poles 5 minutes before the bell and ready to sell. Please bring correct money if possible.

Learning and events in our school this week:

  • Mini Vinnies team presented to school community
  •  Year 5/6 will visit a synagogue and St Patrick’s Cathedral today as part of their RE learning
  •  In year 1/2 learning about verbs, Inquiry guessing baby photo, and counting by 10’s and 100’s
  • In Year 3/4 getting ready for Naplan and lots of writing,place value and counting in maths

Running / tag on the adventure playground 

 

 Remind everyone that the slide is for everyone to use and we slide down the slide- this keeps everyone safe!

 

Tag is to be played on the main yard 

Please do not climb or break branches off the trees!!! -  Please do not climb or break branches off the trees!!! Remind everyone to care for our trees as we need them for our environment and the shade they give us on hot days

Lunch boxes away after lunch and snack

SRC Representative ACTIONS for this week

School Leaders and SRC  will be looking out for students ‘Caught Being Good’.

They will  be nominating students who are responsible, respectful and ready to learn. 

Discuss what these qualities look like.

Respectful - listening, waiting turn, walking through corridor quietly, greeting/speaking to people politely

Responsible - throwing rubbish in the bin, picking up rubbish, returning sports equipment, helping others, kindness

Ready to Learn - listening to the speaker, having materials ready for learning, being on time in class or at school.
