Encouraging Excellence

For those of you that I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting before, my name is Nathan Beaumont. I am one of the Maths teachers at Trinity and I am also the Learning Area Leader of Digital Technologies.

This year, I have been given the privilege of taking the inaugural role of Excellence Co-ordinator. As a key part of my role, I will be overseeing extra-curricular (EC) events and competitions that we provide at Trinity. All sport competitions will continue to be co-ordinated by Mrs Jane Hawker.

Our goal is to promote a wide variety of EC events to students and encourage those who show aptitude or passion and encourage them to step outside their comfort zones. Trinity teachers have already been running and organising a variety of competitions over the years, and our hope is that we will be able to continue to expand on this.

This may mean that I will contact families directly at various points to assist with registration and logistics, but hopefully you will see a kindling of passion in your children in these areas as we explore some of the exciting opportunities that are available to them.

Keep watching this space in the upcoming editions of the newsletter for a list of competitions/events and dates, and please join us in celebrating the wonderful achievements of our students as they happen.

If you know of any competitions in our local community, region or state that you think students may be interested in, please feel free to contact me either by email or phone.

Thank you for your support of our students.
