Principals Message

Have a safe and happy Easter break

As we come to the end of Term 1, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the exciting and enriching experiences our students have had at our school over the past few months. It has been a busy term full of opportunities for our students to learn, grow and excel both academically and personally.

Our students have had a fantastic time participating in a range of sporting activities, including the Swimming Sports, Junior Swimming lessons, Regional Swimming Competitions, Whole-School Athletics Day, AFLX Competition, and the Regional Lawn Bowls Competition. It has been wonderful to see so many of our students enthusiastically participating in these events and displaying excellent sportsmanship.

We have also had some special visitors at our school this term, with Collingwood and Melbourne Storm players visiting our students. These visits provided an exciting opportunity for our students to meet and learn from professional athletes and to be inspired by their stories of hard work and dedication.

In addition, our students have been actively involved in community events such as Clean Up Australia Day and Harmony Day. These events have allowed our students to develop a sense of social responsibility and appreciation for diversity and cultural awareness.

Finally, our students have also participated in NAPLAN testing this term. We are confident that our students have put their best foot forward and we look forward to receiving their results in the coming weeks.

As we approach the Easter holidays, I would like to remind parents and students about the importance of rest and relaxation. The holiday period is a great opportunity to unwind and spend quality time with family and friends. We encourage our students to take some time away from screens and devices and to engage in outdoor activities and creative pursuits. It is also important for our students to prioritize their wellbeing and to maintain healthy eating habits and regular exercise.

Looking ahead to Term 2, we have an exciting lineup of events and activities planned, including our threatre trips and the start of winter sports. We are looking forward to another term full of learning, growth and success for our students.

Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. We wish you all a safe and enjoyable Easter break.

Sincerely,

Cameron Nicholls
