Chat Enjoy Play Stay (CEPS)

Next Friday 24th of March we will be holding our Chat Enjoy Play Stay (CEPS) community event on our school oval from 3.30-5.00pm.  This is an opportunity for our families to come together and develop social connection.  Our Parents Committee will be selling cold drinks and donuts.  Team Kids will be running games and activities for the students in attendance.  We look forward to seeing everyone there.  In accordance with the Department of Education's child safe standards, please be reminded that this will be an alcohol-free event. 

Building Works

Digital Sign

We are currently awaiting the arrival of our new digital sign which is taking longer than we anticipated.  We are hopeful to have a fully functioning digital sign by the end of Term 1. 

Toilet Block

Our new toilet block is now very close to completion and handover to the school is expected to take place next week. 

Fences and Gates

Soon we will be installing a new fence and gate at the school's main entrance.  We will also be adjusting the position of some existing fence panels as there are significant gaps underneath them.  Jon has been busy installing pool-style locks on our gates in support of student safety.  He has also created some new steps for the Jarrahdale St gate.  We thank Jon for his work.

New Air Conditioners

As early as next week, we will be installing new air conditioners in the Year 3/4 portables and the Team Kids building. The current air conditioners are insufficient and require replacement. This will make both spaces more comfortable for staff and students.

NAPLAN Update

Congratulations to our Year 3 and 5 students for successfully completing their writing and reading assessments this week.  Thank you to the staff for preparing the students to confidently engage in these assessments.  Next Tuesday we will conduct the Conventions of Language assessment and on Thursday we will finish with Numeracy.  Students absent will be attend catch-up sessions with Mrs Ward and I.
