Netball and Soccer Clinics

Students in some grades have been lucky enough to have been able to participate in a netball and/or soccer clinic over the last week. Students enjoyed their experience and the opportunity to learn some new skills. Students who missed out will have a chance to participate in a clinic later on in the year.

Alyssa and Katie ran the clinic together and are both coaches and players at Warrandyte Netball Club. Alyssa Rodwell is a past Warrandyte Primary student (Year of 2011) and it was wonderful to see her back here in a coaching capacity. She displayed a very pleasant and welcoming demeanor with the students which contributed to them having fun.

Two weeks ago I also ran into Jess Rodwell and Natalia Czarnecki (Year of 2012) who were both competing in the 2XU Triathlon series, held at Elwood. They had to swim 850m, cycle 20km and run 5km. It is very satisfying to see past students’ enjoyment and commitment to physical activity and what a large role it is playing in their lives.

Any student who would like to try netball can go to a free Net Set Go clinic held at the Warrandyte netball courts. Please see information below.

Interschool Sport

We are fast coming to the end of our first term of interschool sport.

Next week we have yet another HOME match against Milgate Primary, and then finish up the term with an AWAY game against Serpell Primary. Our results have been mixed, but most teams have notched up at least one win.
