Science

This week in Science:

Year 5/6 students constructed and calibrated a simple force meter; a device used to measure force. They made a spring based force metre using an elastic band for the spring component. They also discovered that force is measured in Newtons (N), in recognition of Isaac Newton.

An elastic band created the spring component of the force meter.

Year 3/4 students had fun making a simple machine, a pulley, which was used to lift a cup of marbles and weights.

Year 2 students participated in a science lesson where they observed and drew leaves. They also measured the leaves and constructed a graph to represent the different lengths observed.
