Principal's Report

Dear parents,

Ride to School Day

Last Friday morning I met an excited bunch of young cyclists down at Tony Clarke reserve on a cool and misty Macedon morning.  After a few quick laps of the oval for the eager riders, we left together.  When I say together, it was pretty much a bunch sprint from Tony Clarke to school for some of our older students, while those with an easy-going nature set a more leisurely pace up the hill and through the pines.  It was a fantastic way to start the day and my hope is that it inspires our students to ride and walk to school as often as they can.

Colour Run

The Parents and Friends Association has planned a colour run for the students for the final school day of the term, Thursday 6th of April for all students.  The cost is $5 per child, with all profits going towards powering the Eco Shed at Middle Gully.  Information on this event has been posted on XUNO and your approval and payment is required for your child to participate.

It is set to be a fun afternoon and we invite you to come and cheer your children on as they run around the oval to see out the term in a blur of colour! Mr O is setting up an amazing obstacle running course, while Mr B will be the DJ.

We will be acknowledging the Hindu Holi festival origins of the colour run in classrooms in the lead up to this event so students are aware that this is an element of a significant festival in Hindu culture.

Kind regards and Sampai jumpa (until next time),

Matt
