Year 4 - 6 House Swimming Competition

Students in Years 4 - 6 competed in the Junior House Swimming competition on a magnificent sunny Wednesday. With events ranging from beginner swimmers to advanced swimmers, students were tasked with giving their best efforts to help their team succeed. It was a tight contest all day, with the scores frequently changing. Spirit points were awarded throughout the day to teams for chants, encouragement and effort. Blue House amassed the most Spirit points (24), while White House (21) and Red House (10) were close behind.

The following students were awarded Year Level Swimming Champions due to their outstanding efforts in the pool:

Year 4:  Ellen Frazer (4B) and Ari Nelson (4B)

Year 5:  Shazia Geisler (5MC) and Lachie Weighell (5MO)

Year 6:  Imogen Swyny (6B) and Joe Powell (6B)

The day came down to the final event with Blue House in front of Red House by a mere two points. White House trailed by five points. The Keep Teddy Dry relay became the deciding race, and what an event it was! White House finished in fantastic time to pick up 10 points, but it was just not enough as Blue House held on to the smallest of margins, finishing in first place with 257 points. White House were second with 256 points and Red House placed third with 255. The students could not believe it as the results were announced with Blue House students exploding with excitement with their victory!

Well done, to all students and staff for your wonderful efforts to make the day successful!
