First Reconciliation

Our parish and school celebration of First Reconciliation is fast approaching,

Wednesday 29th March at 6:00pm.

As well as being a focus in the Year 3/4 classrooms, over the past week the candidates and their families participated in their Family Night and all our Year 3s enjoyed a day of learning and praying at our Reconciliation Reflection Day yesterday. The Year 3 children from Sacred Heart Primary visited us for the day, not only reflecting on Reconciliation but enjoying all our wonderful learning spaces, climbing the Dome, rolling down our hill and they were lucky enough to join us for Hot Dog Day too!

Part of the day was to gather in prayer in The Loft, our wellbeing and reflective space. Part of the activity there was for the children to write a prayer of their own choosing. Some simply wrote, "Thank you" and drew many pictures, others wrote a very long and heart felt prayer.

I have included one below for it's simplicity, yet a message big enough to cover many of our own intentions.

"Dear God,

I pray all are safe

and everyone can help our world.

Amen"

As always please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions and I am ever grateful for your support.
