Girton Tennis Tournament

A few days before term went back, the annual Girton Tennis Tournament was held. It was a hot and sunny morning of matches as we shortened the day in a successful attempt to beat the rain. With the help of Ms Speed, our event coordinator, Mr Steve Storer, our resident tennis coach, and Mr Crickmore, the motivator, the day ran smoothly. Everyone played some brilliant tennis during the day; however, 6 people became champions. 

In the large group of Junior boys, Max Henderson (8M), prevailed and won. 

In Junior girls, Eva Gross (7F) became champion. 

Intermediate boys saw Ruben Christie (10A) win, and Intermediate girls saw Sarah Witham (9M) take the crown. 

Finally, Senior boys saw Siddheswar Vijayanand (12M) take the crown again and Senior girls saw Willow Barnett (11J) win for another year. 

Well done to all that participated we hope to see you in our Sandhurst and GVGS teams later in the year.
