Music News

Dear Sacred Heart Community,

This week during music all the Grade 2 to Grade 6 children have begun working on improving their skills on the ukulele after a long break from playing last year.  Some children are absolute beginners and others enjoyed the fact they could remember more than they expected.

It has been really great to see the children using the learning dispositions of resilience and self managing as they approach learning the instrument. To play the ukulele means both hands are doing different things at the same time and then we need to keep in time with each other and sometimes even sing!! I have been so impressed with their enthusiasm and determination.

We now have almost 30 ukuleles!
