Year 3-10 Swimming Carnival

On Friday, 11 February 2022, the children from Year 3-10 will be participating in the annual School Swimming Carnival at the Inverell Town Pool. The students will be transported down by bus at approximately 9:15am and sit in stage groups for the day. Unfortunately, no spectators will be allowed to attend the carnival in line with Covid-19 restrictions.

Cost is $3.40 per child or season passes may be used. Children are asked to bring sunscreen, protective clothing (hats, swim shirt and goggles), towel and a water bottle. All items need to be labelled with their names, including socks and underwear. Children need to come to school ready to swim – access to the change rooms will be limited due to Covid-19 restrictions. Students should wear full sports uniform over the top of their swimmers. House colours may be worn, but no coloured hairspray, zinc or streamers (Johns – yellow, Marks – red, Paul’s – blue, Leos – Green).

Students should bring lunch and snack foods. They may order their lunch from the school canteen through Flexi-Schools if they wish and these will be delivered to the pool around 12:00pm. The pool will also have a canteen operating during the day for snacks, however, students will only have limited access in cohorts due to Covid-19 restrictions.

All entry forms should have been returned by last Friday. If your child is unable to swim in the carnival and attend school on Friday 11 February, please let the school know as per a normal absence.
