Enrolments Kindergarten 2023
We are now accepting enrolment applications for Kindergarten 2023. If you have a child who will be ready for Kindergarten next year please contact the office for an enrolment application or download the Enrolment Application below. Interviews will be conducted early Term 2.
Mufti Day - 22/2/22
As a school community, we are participating in Tutu Day on the 22nd February 2022! Students are invited to celebrate this unique date by coming to school dressed in tutus, ties or tennis shoes on 'Twosday' 22/2/22. (Students may also wear T-shirts and other mufti clothes.)
P&F Meetings
The first P&F Meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday 22nd March commencing at 5:30pm. These meetings are open to all parents - it is a wonderful opportunity to get involved in your child's schooling. Meetings are held in the Primary Collaborative Space and generally go for no longer than 30 minutes.
School Hours - Supervision & Attendance
A reminder that school commences at 8:45am and ends at 2:50pm. Supervision in the morning is from 8:15am please do not arrive before this time.
The gate is locked for security reasons at 8:45am.
If your child arrives to school after 8:45am a parent or guardian will need to sign the student in at the front office. Students can be dropped off in the mornings at the Denison Street entrance or the Crown Street church gate entrance. Only the Crown Street church gate is to be used for afternoon pick ups please. If your child is unwell, please keep them at home.
COVID Update
RAT kits have been distributed to all families. Parents are asked to test their children on Mondays and Wednesdays prior to attending school. If your child tests positive please contact the school office and register your child's results via the NSW Service App. Children can return to school 7 days after their positive test and must be symptom free. It is strongly recommended that primary school students wear a surgical mask indoors but it is not compulsory.
Unfortunately no visitors are allowed on-site and only those essential to delivering and supporting learning or wellbeing and are fully-vaccinated will be permitted to enter.
Birthday Celebrations
Just a reminder if your child is celebrating a birthday it is preferable that parents send in individual cupcakes rather than a whole cake (1 per class member). We also ask that if you are planning a party and would like to send invitations but are not inviting the whole class that they be given to the teacher who will hand them out discretely to those invited. It is very upsetting to those who are left out.
Canteen
Canteen is available on Thursdays and Fridays. All orders must be placed on Qkr prior to 9am on the day of the required order. When ordering please check that the date of your required order is correct. We understand from our suppliers that some food items may not be available and if this affects your child's order we will do our best to ensure that your child receives something to their liking.
In order for our canteen to run we do require parent helpers to assist Mrs Lobban. If you are available to assist on either a Thursday or Friday from 10:30am until 1:30pm please contact the office. Unfortunately we cannot have any toddlers or pre-schoolers in the Canteen.
QKR
To help with the correct distribution of lunches to each classroom please remember to update your child's profile on Qkr. For example if your child is now in Year 2 you will need to go to their profile page on Qkr and move them from Year 1 to Year 2.
Clothing Pool Opening Hours
The clothing pool is open Monday to Thursdays 8:30am - 1:30pm. All new items eg school bag, hat, tie and socks must be purchased on Qkr. All new items once paid will be sent home with your child.
Before & After School Care
If you need the services of After School Care please contact William Wong direct info@esteemkidsgroup.com.au or on his mobile 0410 841 628. If your child has a change of plans and will not be attending after school on a particular day please let William know.
School Photos 2022
This year our school photos will be taken on TUESDAY 29th MARCH. More information will be sent home over the next few weeks.
Dental Visit 2022
Australian Dental Health NSW will also be visiting again this year. They will be on site the week of 20 June. Consent forms will be sent home over the next few weeks and must be returned to school prior to the 28 March. This is a free service offered by Australian Dental Health NSW and is not compulsory.
