Year 9 Roses Gap Camp

The 2017 Year 8’s stepped up in term 4 to start Year 9, and what better way to do this than with the annual Year 9 Camp to Roses Gap in the Grampians. The camp is an action packed week with students enjoying a variety of activities including the giant swing, abseiling, raft building, archery, flying fox, pamper poles and canoeing on the lake. This year was the first time that students had the option of completing a 13km day walk to the top of Briggs Bluff, to experience some breath taking views at a height of 600m. While the walk was challenging for some, there were no complaints with students enjoying the opportunity to push themselves over the six hour journey.

The camp was once again a huge success with fun and challenging activities, great camp food and as always, the friendly staff at Roses Gap Camp made the experience the best for all students involved.

The highlight for PRSC staff was watching students step outside their comfort zone and tackle fears, as well as watching the students support one another at various times.
