SCHOOL COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S REPORT

MESSAGE FROM SCHOOL COUNCIL PRESIDENT

I want to offer my congratulations to our Principal Pitsa Binnion on guiding her team through the process of international accreditation with the Council of International Schools.

This was the opportunity for the wider school community to see how the school functions from the inside. It was also a further opportunity for us to help shape future directions for the education of our children.

What impressed me is how much the community, whether it be staff, students or parents, cares about education. Education offers us hope for a prosperous and better future and it is clear we all understand this very well.

International accreditation means that McKinnon Secondary College has measured up to rigorous standards of teaching and learning.

Most importantly, it means we have a framework for ongoing improvement. We are not standing still but moving with confidence into the future.
