Secondary Sports

On Saturday 29 October, we had two of our very own students represent HCC at the Victorian All Schools Athletics Competition.

The prestigious competition gathered secondary students from any public or private school in Victoria to compete against each other in their respective age divisions in Track and Field Athletics events. The biggest schools in the state were present with large teams competing for their school. Lucas Faber competed in the High Jump and Tesia Haggai in the Triple jump.

They went up against the very best of the state and not only did they give it their best, but their best certainly WAS good enough! Tesia claimed 3rd place in the Triple Jump and Lucas came 1st in the High Jump! Lucas did extremely well after jumping a height of 1.87m, which was just shy of his personal best.

We would like to celebrate Lucas and Tesia on their amazing efforts! What a fantastic achievement!

Students who placed 1st or 2nd place are invited to represent Victoria by competing in the upcoming All Schools Nationals Athletics Competition in Adelaide next week on Sunday 11 December 2022. Please be praying for Lucas as he represents HCC and Victoria at this Australia-wide event!
