Girls In Construction Pilot Program - Deakin Uni

Seven students from MFG volunteered to participate in a pilot program facilitate by the Australian Institute of Building and Deakin University called 'Girls in Construction'. The five day program was designed to provide female students with a hands on, collaborative experience to gain insight into leading career pathways for women in the building and construction. Students heard from a range of women in professional roles such as surveyors, engineers, architects and construction managers as well as worked with trades to construct a shed that was donated to local Queenscliff charity 'Cottage by the Sea'.
