On Wednesday 7th December, Rangeview held its first carols evening since 2019. From 5.00pm, picnic rugs filled the oval, the line for the ice cream van nearly went out of the car park, and families sang carols together in the sunshine accompanied by the talented students in our band, string orchestra and rock band, as well as some of our level 6 students.

By 6.30pm, the sun was still shining, and our official program began. Students from all levels entertained the huge crowd with enthusiasm and smiles on their faces. The students were doing such a wonderful job of making the night run so smoothly and getting ready for their performances as quickly as possible.

Fast forward to around 7.45pm and the air was suddenly cold, the sky was full of dark clouds and the inevitable happened - the rain came down just as the level 6 students were on stage ready to go. Unfortunately, there were 3 performance who missed out - but we look forward to sharing these before the end of the term.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the parents and staff who were there at 7.00am setting up the stage, as well as everyone who stayed to pack up in the rain. I'm sure all of that equipment has never been packed away so quickly.

A huge thank you also goes to all of the staff for all the work they have put into their class performance, and last but not least to the stars of the show - our students - who performed with such passion.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all Rangeview families from the music room.
