A Year of Learning

As the year draws to a close, we wish to thank our passionate and dedicated teachers for their commitment to each child’s learning growth. We are exceptionally proud of each and every student here at Miners Rest Primary School and wish to also thank our parent community for their support throughout the year too. A consistent and team-oriented approach results in beneficial gains for our whole school learning community. The end of the year is a wonderful time to look back and be proud of what we have all achieved together, whilst also looking ahead to next year’s goals. We encourage you to engage in some reflective discussions with your child/ren to acknowledge their Literacy and Numeracy achievements throughout 2022. Some question prompts to guide your discussion may include:

-What are you most proud of this year?

-What is the most important concept you learnt in Literacy/Numeracy?

-What do you think you need to learn next?

-What learning behaviours will help you best in the classroom?

-One thing I would like to improve upon is…

-What might you want next year’s teacher to know about you?

-What goals would you like to focus on next year?

-How can you take what you’ve learned and apply it to your life?

We wish all families a wonderful and safe Christmas and New Year. We hope you enjoy some quality time together and a bit of summer fun!
