WELCOME TO 2023
Hi. I am Clare Bisby and I am the Faith Leader at OLHC. I also teach in grade 1/2 on a Thursday and a Friday.
I would like to welcome you to 2023 at OLHC - all students, their families, our staff, volunteers and visitors.
I have a few important dates so please see below:
School Mass will be held next Friday the 10th February at 9.30am at OLHC Church. Families are welcome to attend.
Information will follow later about these important events:
- Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day): Tuesday 21 February
- Ash Wednesday Mass: Wednesday 22 February (parents welcome)

~ Reconciliation 2023 Year 4 Students ~

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Welcome to 2023! This year your Year 4 child will experience God’s beautiful gift of forgiveness, in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time. You are invited to attend (parents only) the ‘Reconciliation 2023 Parent Faith Formation Evening’ on Monday 13th February 7:00 pm at St Francis Xavier Church (SFX), 86 Mayona Road Montmorency.
On the night, you will be introduced to the Sacramental team and the process of preparing our students for the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be explained. Emphasis will be placed on preparing our students in partnership as a ‘Parent Initiated, School Supported and Parish Based Program’. Fr Michael will highlight the historical perspective of Reconciliation and parents will be informed of the resource, ‘Becoming Catholic Reconciliation - A practical guide for families’ By Kathy Horan. The aim of this book is to assist parents in helping to prepare their child at home, as well as building their own faith formation, in a partnership with conversations that will also be taking place at school. The idea is that this text will be the catalyst to open up the ‘God talk’ at home... “What is the Sacrament of Reconciliation?” As well as providing scripture and an opportunity for family activities and reflection.
The 2023 Reconciliation (Communal Rite of Forgiveness) celebration will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday the 20th March 2023 at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Church, Henry Street, Eltham.
