Clontarf

Courts in session

On Sunday 6th November a selected group of boys from the Bairnsdale Clontarf Academy were rewarded with an NBL game for their attendance, being organised for class and a stand out leader within the academy. With the tunes on and the volume right up in the buses, the energy was good and plenty of laughs were being had early. We had a little competition with the boys selecting who they thought would win and how much by. The winner would win a movie voucher. As we arrived to the big smoke we stopped off in Swan Street and had some fulfilling burgers for lunch and got ourselves organised for the NBL basketball game.

Melbourne United defended their home court against Melbourne Phoenix and it was a back and forth battle but United were able to breakaway after the half and Phoenix could not rise up to the occasion. On our way out one of the Clontarf boys spotted a well known Tik Toker and he was kind enough to get a picture with all the lads. After the game we made our way back home with a stop off in Traralgon to have tea and refill the buses for the last stride home. We would like to say a massive thank you to Susan who provided clappers and Melbourne United towels for our boys on the day. Congratulations to Titus Harrison for choosing the winner and closest margin.
