Chess Tournament at Alice Miller

On Monday the 29th of August our chess team headed out to Alice Miller school for their final tournament before the state finals. We had 25 students compete against 5 school across the north including Bacchus Marsh Grammar (both Maddingley and Woodlea campuses), Alice Miller School, Braemar College and Lowther Hall Anglican Grammar School. From this tournament we had 9 students that qualified for state finals with 4 finishing in the top 5; congratulations to Nam Vo who was the overall winner of the tournament, Eric Zhang, Vincent Le and Kingsley Wu who all finished with high distinction.

All students played excellent chess resulting in Keilor Downs winning the NSC Secondary Open Zonal!
