SCHOOL ATTENDANCE - EVERY DAY COUNTS

BELL TIMES 

To minimise class disruptions, students need to be at school  BEFORE the 8:50 bell

NO STUDENTS BEFORE 8.25am

8.25am - Morning supervision duties commence - children are not to arrive before this time please.

8:50—10:50 Morning Session (please be ON TIME)

 11:00—11:30 Recess

 11:30—1:30 Middle Session

   1:40—2:10 Lunch

   2:10—3:10 Afternoon Session

Please be on time when picking your children up from school.

Children are not to arrive at school earlier than 8.25am please.  Morning supervision commences at 8.25am.

Sibling enrolments have now closed.  

Enrolments for new families are open now.  

Do you know someone who is interested in enrolling at St Laurence's?  Please encourage them to pick up an enrolment pack or to make an appointment wilth Liz for a tour and chat as soon as possible.

SAMARITAN'S PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Thank you to everyone who supported the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas boxes. The boxes were collected today and will be on their way to some very excited children in time for Christmas.   We collected 18 boxes of donations.

BETSY MOO IS FINISHED

Our cow has been brought to life!!   The kids had fun first naming the cow, Betsy Moo La Vache, and then designing and painting her.   Special thanks to Tanya Privitera for organising the delivery of Betsy Moo.  We have entered Betsty Moo into the Dairy Australia competition.

DISTRICT BASKETBALL

On Friday the 2nd of September, our girls and boys basketball teams traveled to Korumburra Recreation Centre for the District Basketball Competition. This was the first time our students have represented the school at this competition and it was a wonderful opportunity for some of our Grade 3/4 students to experience interschool sport.

Although, we didn't win any games, both teams tried their best, displayed great teamwork and fantastic sportsmanship in all their games.

It was a really pleasing to see our students trying new things and taking themselves out of their comfort zones.

A massive thank you to Cathy Govers for her assistance in training and coaching on the day. We are grateful to have Cathy sharing her expertise with our students.

DIVISION ATHLETICS

Last Friday, September 9th, nineteen students competed in the South Gippsland Division Athletics at Casey Fields in perfect weather conditions. Many thanks to all those parents/grandparents who attended the event, we had pleasing support for the team. Students who finished in the first three qualified for the Regional Level on 11th October.

(Relay teams had to finish in the first two to qualify.) 

Those students who qualified for the next meeting will receive the necessary information this week.

GUMBYA WORLD EXCURSION

MICHAEL'S IGA COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM

Wednesday 14th September, Mrs O'Loughlin and school leaders Jett Roberts and Hayley Blackshaw attended the big cheque presentation for this worthy program.  We received $2200 from this year's program.  We are very grateful to everyone who donated their points to us and to Michael's IGA for their generous community program.

Last year we received $1700.  With this money we have installed 2 bike racks and deck seating.

There was an update to Simon and PAM in August, which have affected the performance and functionality of the app.  If you have not yet completed the UNINSTALL and REINSTALL SimonEverywhere please do so as soon as you can to ensure that the app is updated with all of the new improvements.  Please remember to turn your SimonEverywhere notifications to ON to get all the notifications in text form.

Remember that your login and password for SimonEverywhere is that same as for PAM. 

To stay up to date and informed - You must remember to have your notifications turned on.To do this go to your phone settings. 

Go to your apps.  

Go to SimonEverywhere.  

Turn notifications to ON to receive important notifications that will pop up like a text message.
