Welcome

In this edition of MY FUTURE Careers News, the Year 12 cohort is continuing to assess and decide on preferences for University Entry in 2023. The VTAC session for students was repeated on Tuesday for the students who were unable to attend the initial presentation.

Students are encouraged to apply for their SEAS (Special Entry Access Scheme) as soon as possible as all applications received before Friday, 16 September will be assessed and applicants will be notified if further evidence is required. Students are also encouraged to apply for Scholarships via the VTAC process.

I encourage all Year 12 students to book a time with me to discuss their options, which include contingency strategies should results not go to plan. Timely applications for University entry close on Thursday, 29 September 2022.

In addition, all students applying for tertiary entry will require a USI (Unique Student Identifier) before beginning the process. It can be obtained via the link https://www.usi.gov.au/students.

In addition, this edition includes information on

  • Open days and Information Sessions at various Institutions
  • Science Week Activities
  • Jobs for Night Owls
  • Overseas Study in the UK explained
  • How to become a Lecturer.
