Chaplain's Message

A Closed Door Agreement

After a vigorous brotherly and sisterly disagreement, our children retired, only to be aroused at 2:00am by a terrific thunderstorm. Hearing an unusual noise upstairs, I called to find out what was going on. A little voice answered, “We are in the closet forgiving each other”.

Oh the inexpressible freedom of forgiving and indeed being forgiven. It sounds simple but can be so hard sometimes. May we all head for the “Closet”!

Luke 23:34 As he hung on the cross Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do”.

Proverbs 17:9 “Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends”.

Go safely.
