 Jacob Smith Swim Star

Jacob recently spent 4 days in Brisbane competing at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships as a member of the NSW Swim Team. He was swimming against the best school swimmers in Australia and he came home with a swag of medals and broke many of his PB's. His results and achievements were outstanding:

  • 100m Backstroke- Bronze Medal
  • 200m Medley Relay - Gold Medal
  • 200m Individual Medley- 4th Place
  • 50m Backstroke- Silver Medal
  • 100m Freestyle- 5th Place
  • 50m Freestyle- 11th Place (narrowly missing the final by .03 sec)
  • 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay- Gold Medal

Diocesan Athletics

On Tuesday 23 August, St Xavier's had 35 students travel to Tamworth for the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival. It was a very successful day for the athletes with 17 of them gaining selection into the Armidale Athletics Team to compete at the Polding Athletics Championships on Friday 9th September at Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale.

Angus Simpson- 11 Years Boy Champion

Charlee Adamson- 12/13 Year Girl Runner-Up

Junior Girls Relay Team (Isabella Hamilton, Kelani Bender, Luna Baynton, Ruby Ricketts)- first place.

Senior Boys relay team (Kade Bush, Henry Weinthal, harrison Law, Angus Simpson)- 2nd place.

NSWPSSA Golf

Best of luck to Lucas Grosser who is off to represent Polding at the NSWPSSA Golf Championships over three days next week. The Tournament will be held at Moorebank and Barden Ridge.

NSWCPS Netball Carnival

Next Tuesday our senior girls netball team will travel down to Penrith to participate in the NSWCPS Netball Carnival. They have been training every week with Miss Glavocih and Miss Hamparsum. Best of luck girls!

Diocesan Gala Day

The Diocesan Gala Day will be held on Friday 16 September (netball and soccer) in Tamworth.

All parents with children in Years 3-6 have received an email with details of the event. This is an optional event. If you would like your child to participate you must complete the consent and payment on COMPASS before this Friday, 2 September.
