John XXIII Rowing Club

We look forward to our wind up of the rowing season this Saturday, 17 September. Our House Regatta is taking place at Canning Bridge and our Presentation Evening will conclude the season that evening.
House Regatta Information
- Time: 8:00am - 11:00am
- Races: Crews are displayed on the wall of the PE office. Please note some of you are racing in other Houses to balance the crews, so please check all races for your name and write down your race times.
- Arrive: all rowers should be at the river no later than 7:30am. Find your coach and begin to get your boats ready for launch.
- Uniform: Wear your full PE gear with house shirt. A towel and change of clothes is advised.
- Parking: Parking will be tight, so you may wish to organise car pooling or getting dropped off. There is plenty of parking over Canning Highway.
- Bring food and drink with you - there will be a sausage sizzle but it is advised to bring your food and drink with you.
Parents are invited to view races in front of the sheds. Please be aware that this year our Rowing Sheds have been under construction with the building of ‘Grilled’ and other restaurants directly above the sheds. The area is usually far nicer to look at, however, it is currently under construction and transformation.

Year 8 Rowing Program
As the program comes to an end for this term, we congratulate all Year 8’s on their work ethic and improvement they have shown. It has been a pleasure for our coaches to work with you and we do hope to see you in our Rowing Program next year.
There will be information regarding next year at the House Regatta and I will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Alternatively, you can contact me via email if you miss me. Lorrelle.fortune@cewa.edu.au
