Nude Food at LNPS

It is important to keep our wonderful school environment clean and one way we can do this is by reducing the amount of packaging we use. This in-turn reduces litter in the yard and waste in our bins.

To help us take the next step in reducing our waste footprint, we have had a Bin Audit undertaken by the West Torrens Council and KESAB.

We have received the preliminary findings which outlines that:

  • currently we are above the per person per day average
  • that packaging is above average at 27% of our total rubbish

Taking this into consideration it has been recommended that as a school we have a large focus on Nude Food. Nude Food is when recess and lunch is put into reusable containers.

We ask that families have a focus on reducing our waste footprint by using reusable container as much as possible.

We appreciate everyones support with this approach so we can reduce our waste footprint.

Brian Street

We have received a number of complaints from parents regarding unsafe driving on Brian Street.

We ask that all parents/caregivers that  drop off and pick up in this area take extrme care as we don't want any accidents to occur.

Community Engagement Collaboration

The Community Collaboration is looking for members, will it be you?

The what, you say? After the success of the community cooking Masterclass in 2019 the Governing Council and Fundraising Committee is looking to evolve and wed love you to join us in 2020!

The Community Collaboration will be a fusion of the historic LNPS Parents and Friends (P&F) and traditional fundraising activities; we hope that with this change the group will become more engaging and beneficial to the entire school community, whilst still raising funds for projects throughout the school.

This year we are looking to introduce new initiatives and ideas, whilst keeping the kids fed with the traditional BBQ and bake sale activities.

To help us in this quest we are looking for members to help with the development and execution of these ideas. We will keep the fun in fundraising and add the energy of engagement!

If you would like to join our committee please contact tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au to register your name.
