F/1:

Focusing on Fairy tale stories through Drama in Spanish. 'Ricitos de Oro y los tres osos' was the last focus, with some of these being filmed and uploaded onto Seesaw.  We will continue to work on other fairy tale stories that come in threes, due to the popular 'Fairy tale' scene of the production.

Darebin Celeste have almost completed their dance item for one of the most iconic scenes in the Production, 'The Fairy tale Cottage'.

2/3:

We have continued to focus on specific scenes of the Production, based on dance items that each house is involved in.

Merri Merri Ambar improvised the Garage Sale scene in Spanish, using ideas from their item with Carol. Some of these are uploaded for you to see on their Seesaw.

Birrarung Salvia focused on the Pirate scene and what they believed the pirates would say to each other in Spanish. They used 'Pirates of the Caribbean' as an idea, as their theme song is part of their dance item in the Production. They also gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.

Edgars Carmin have completed their dance item for the 'Dance class' scene and have focused on entering and exiting the stage in rows. They have been perfecting staying in positions, following the space measurements of the stage in the Performing Arts room. They also gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.

Darebin Celeste have worked hard in completing their jazzy dance piece for the 'Dance class' scene in the Production. They were able to stay in their positions, entering and exiting the stage on time. They understood their cue lines to go on and off stage after their performance. They also gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.

Kurrum Malva worked on the positioning and spacing required on stage, especially in their rows for the 'House of the hobby horses' scene of the Production. They were able to enter and exit the stage, following the measurement guidance in the Performing Arts room. They worked on memorising the choreography so far, focusing on timing with each other and the beat of the music. They also gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.

4/5/6 have continued to focus on specific scenes of the Production, based on dance items that each house are involved in. The major and minor characters have diligently attended rehearsals at lunch times and some even on last Sunday 28th August ranging from 10am - 2pm. The major cast stayed on all day until 2pm. Thank you to parents, students and the community for your dedication and support in these rehearsals for the Production; they honestly helped get prepared, organised and more ready! All students worked so hard, showing great care and responsibility!

Merri Merri Ambar have pretty much finalised their dance item with me, which is the 'Circus scene' in the Production. It is a bit of a challenge, but they have all risen to it so well! I am impressed with their skill and abilities to learn the choreography and give input to movement ideas and dance sequences as well! They gave and received positive constructive feedback from another House group.

Birrarung Salvia focused on the 'Funky fairy forest' scene as this is where they are performing their dance item. It is finalised and looking great. They focused on staying in positions, based on their rows. They have learned how to enter and exit the stage. There are also moments where some freeze and some dance, which is called a canon. We have continued to focus on specific scenes of the Production, based on dance items that each house is involved in.

Darebin Celeste have worked hard in completing their exotic salsa dance item for 'The ball scene' in the Production. They have focused on partner work, specifically with footwork and turns. They also learned how to ask partners to dance, as this is a huge part of the Hispanic culture, in all festivities and party events. They also gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.

Kurrum Malva and Edgars Carmin are both working on 'The tip' scene of the Production. They finally got to collaborate together, focusing on the positioning and spacing required on stage, especially in their rows. They were able to enter and exit the stage, following the measurement guidance given, in the 4/5/6 classrooms. Some of the students have minor roles in this scene and showed they memorised their lines. They presented an excellent percussion performance to other House groups. They gave and received constructive feedback from another House group.
