This year the theme was " Dreaming with Eyes Wide Open".  This year during our NAIDOC celebrations the students each painted onto canvas bunting triangles which we have displayed in the Resource Centre for book week. Staff and Students have been adding to our display with beautiful coloured butterflies.

 

The shortlist for CBCA this year for older readers are: Tiger Daughter, How to Repaint a Life, Girls in Boys Cars, The Boy from the Mish, Terceil and Elinor and Sugar Town Queens. The winner has been announced as TIGER DAUGHTER by Rebecca Lim.

 

The awards for Younger readers are: Glass House of Stars, Dragon Skin, Huda and Me, Exit through the Gift Shop, Rabbit, Soldier, Angel Thief, The Detectives Guide to Ocean Travel. The winner has been announced as A GLASSHOUSE OF STARS by Shirley Marr.

 

Book week this year was celebrated with a trivia for homegroups on Monday, with all the homegroups doing extremely well. Winners of the book week trivia will receive a hot chip lunch. The Art competition will be drawn on Friday lunchtime as well as the book in a jar guessing competition. All students and Homegroup winners will be announced on Friday afternoon.
