I am pleased to advise that Mr Stephen Mirtschin has accepted appointment to replace Ms Victoria Burleigh next term when she is in family leave.

Mr Mirtschin spent some time with us as a pre-service teacher a little while ago and he has been working at Pembroke School in Adelaide, primarily with extension primary mathematics students and also as a resident master in the boarding house.  The lure of returning closer to family near Warrnambool has proved helpful in enabling us to secure his services for the remainder of this year.

Ms Burleigh commences her leave after the first week of term.  She will join the Year 6s in Melbourne before commencing her leave.  Mr Mirtschin will also join the group in Melbourne so there should be a sound transfer of knowledge and information to ensure continuity of programmes.  Mr Nelson, of course, will continue to co-ordinate the Year 6 programme.
