Teacher - Outdoor Education Studies

The final Outdoor Education Studies program of 2018 saw BSC students floating on the portion of  Yarra River  and passing through the Melbourne CBD.

We started our journey at the rowing sheds upriver of Princes Bridge and paddled all the way to Victoria Harbour - right up to the newly-named “Marvel” Stadium! This provided the group with a perfect opportunity to investigate a lot of concepts and content related to our OES Unit 2 studies including the human impacts, changes to the river over time and the effects of urbanisation and changing human lifestyles on an environment such as the Yarra.

Students used this experience very well when completing their final SAC for the year. Overall, 2018 has been a very successful year for the students studying OES Units 1&2. We are looking forward to launching into another year of outdoor learning in 2019 as we tackle Units 3 and 4.
