MIDDLE YEARS TRANSITION

At this time of year, Middle Years begins a transition process to start Year Level Leaders working with their new teams for 2017.  To facilitate this, you'll need to be aware of some changing of hands that has taken place.

Our Year 9 students have officially transitioned into working with the Later Years team.  This is a process that takes place every year, and allows the 2017 Year 10 YLL team to begin to get to know their students.  This helps them set up the best processes to allow these students to transition as successfully as possible into their new sub school from day 1 next year.  Part of this transition involves the confirmation interview for Year 10 which takes place on Thursday 8th December.  Year 9 students received a set time for this confirmation interview in their elective packs.

In a similar way, the year 7 and 8 students have officially transitioned into working with their Year Level Leaders for 2017.  For a list of who to communicate with if you have a query or concern, please see below:

Current Year 9s – Jenny Dixon and Carolyn Parkes (Year 10 Year Level Leaders 2017)

Current Year 8s – Ashleigh Gardener and Kathleen Timms (Year 9 Year Level Leaders 2017)

Current Year 7s – Benn Pollock and Kate Chamberlain (Year 8 Year Level Leaders 2017)

GOLD LEVEL

Congratulations to our Year 8 and 9 students who have achieved Gold Level Status for Semester 2 2016.  As a reminder, Gold Level Status is achieved by students who consistently demonstrate positive learning behaviours, are respectful of others and maintain a positive attitude towards students and staff.  Furthermore, they uphold the values of the school and act as role models to others.  These students went to a celebratory excursion on Tuesday 6th December with their Year Level Leaders, Benn Pollock (Y9) and Kathleen Timms (Y8), to AMF Bowling followed by lunch at Knox City.  The Gold Level program will be made available to Year 7 students as of 2017.
