Year 8
Welcome to Year 8 2020
The students have made a positive start to the year and are to be congratulated on their excellent standard of personal presentation. Let’s hope this continues throughout the year.
It was great to meet so many of you on Tuesday evening. Once again, my thanks for giving up your valuable time to come and meet with us. Our hope for our students is that in keeping with the theme “ Great things are possible”, they focus on developing respectful relationships with parents, teachers and each other. That they make a commitment to their academic work using the College Diary as a key organisational tool, get involved in all aspects of College life and make the most of the opportunities presented in Year 8.
The focus of our PSE program is on Student Wellbeing. We will cover a wide range of issues and topics centred around resilience, sleep, gaming, anxiety, study techniques and cyber safety. The program culminates with camp in Term 4.
It is my privilege to share this journey and once again I emphasise the importance of us working in partnership. Should you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me at the College and we will endeavour to resolve any issues as soon as possible.
Please ensure that all contact, medical and CareMonkey details are regularly updated.
With every good wish for the year ahead. Looking forward to great things.
