WELCOME BACK

Welcome to what we hope will be another exciting and studious year ahead. As a team we welcome many new members of staff and also wish them well, and look forward to showing them what our McKinnon Magic is all about. 

The year has already gotten off to a busy start with teachers busily marking drafts for our Year 12 students' first SAC. 

Also, we have been so lucky to enjoy an exceptional talk from author Cate Kennedy which I know has left our senior students feeling inspired and ready to create some amazing short stories themselves. 

We of course are particularly excited to have the new East Campus, and a dedicated team of teachers from English will be taking the reins on a new and exciting curriculum with Years 8 & 9. Year 10 have a new reinvigorated approach to reading, and it's so lovely to see the Year 7 cohort eager and ready to learn. 

On a personal level, I am honoured to be leading the English team for Term One whilst Sam Florence is on leave. On behalf of everyone in English, we are so excited to share another successful year with you all in 2022.
