CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL

YEAR FIVE/SIX STUDENTS

What a few weeks we have had in the senior years of Upwey South Primary. We have been so fortunate to be able to go on camp, have our Year Six Graduation and celebrate with our whole cohort on our Celebration day. What a year we have had in 2021

Year 5/6 CAMP - Sovereign Hill / Ballarat.

During week 9 we had our Year Five / Six camp to Camp Adekate, just outside Ballarat. We completed activities on the camp site as well as having a day excursion to Sovereign Hill. After completing our Inquiry Unit in Term Three linked to The Australian Colonies, it was great to be able to experience life on the Gold fields. I can guarantee that a lot of Raspberry drops were bought and consumed over the following days.

GRADUATION - Year Six

On Wednesday 8th of December, our Year Six students participated in their Year Six Graduation. Look at this fantastic bunch of kids.

The evening consisted of a formal ceremony, sit down dinner and a disco in the gym. All students received a certificate and a key ring gift as part of the ceremony. We also had a number of students who received individual awards linked to our school values, overall academic and specialist awards. Lets congratulate the below students for receiving these awards:

Respect: Tess & Alice

Responsibility:  Hannah & Renair

Resilience: Ayse & Jack

Academic: Tristan and Madi

Performing Arts: Eve

Visual Arts: Ruby

Physical Education: Charlee-Belle

Japanese: Abbey

Bank of Bendigo Education & Community award: Eve & Zane.

Here are a few snaps from the night.

END OF YEAR CELEBRATION - All Year 5/6

On Friday 10th of December, our Year Five / Six cohort participated in our End of Year Celebration which involved a trip to Boronia Metro cinema to view Boss Baby 2. The students had a great time with popcorn and a drink and enjoyed relaxing with their friends. Upon return to school we had a fish and chip lunch and finished off the day with free time inside or outside. Thanks to all our students for a great year.

GOODBYE & GOOD LUCK

We have 17 families that we are saying good bye to in 2021. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support of all we do at Upwey South P.S. and we wish you all the best for your future years.

To all our Year Six students who are moving on to a range of High schools / Secondary schools / Colleges, we wish you Good Luck.
