Federation University Engineering AMA (Ask me anything) online session – Monday 22 November at 5:30pm

As an engineering graduate you'll experience well-paid opportunities world-wide that will improve and amplify human capabilities, making people's lives safer and easier. Swinburne University 2022 Study Expo – Tuesday 23 November, 4 pm to 6 pm

RMIT Parents to parents panel session – Thursday 25 November at 5:30pm

RMIT invites parents who want to hear more about how they can support their children in transitioning to university life. Come along to this session to hear from parents of RMIT students to get an insight into the busy and exciting time that is studying at university! This is the perfect session if you are a parent of a VCE student and want to hear from other parents that have experienced the transition from high school to university before. Australian Institute of Music Start Me Up online info session – Saturday 27 November, 2 pm to 4 pm

Start Me Up is a two-hour music industry expert-led seminar dedicated to introducing you to the 21st century music business. You’ll learn about careers in music – and discover how to start a career of your own. You’ll hear from a range of experts and artists about the skills required to succeed in the modern industry – including artist management, promotion, distribution and entrepreneurship. You’ll hear from AIM students about how internship opportunities are connecting them with the music business before they even finish their degree. Find out more about this event and register here.

Monash Science Change of Preference 2021 

Once again, 2021 has been a challenging year for everyone, and the Monash Science Faculty is keen to support Year 12 students as they navigate the Change of Preference period. Please find below a list of handy links and resources: 

 

Your Essential Guide to Monash Science – this is a great resource for Year 12 students with course advice videos, virtual precinct tours, pathways advice, and more. 

 

Monash Science Precinct Tours– Monash would love to welcome senior students onto campus! These tours are a fun and safe way for students to see where they could be studying next year, meet some of our current students and have all their questions answered. Please note that any visitors to campus must be fully vaccinated or have a valid exemption as per university policy

 

Book a 1:1 Appointmen– Monash are offering 1:1 appointments, either with Monash science course advisors or Monash Science students. There will be many appointments available on the day results are released, as well as right through the Change of Preference period. 

 

MySci – unfortunately Monash has had to postpone MySci for 2022. MySci will now run from June 28 - 30, 2022

PSC's OPEN HOUSE – 18 November to 20 December 2021, Monday to Friday from 10am - 4pm

Photography Studies College (PSC) invites students and parents to experience their state-of-the-art campus and facilities at 37 – 47 Thistlethwaite Street, South Melbourne. See classes in action, meet PSC tutors, explore the PSC studio, which includes a full-size cyclorama and lighting equipment, to see what your future holds at PSC. You can either just come in, or book a tour with one of PSCs Course Advisors by clicking here

La Trobe University upcoming Campus Tours

For students wanting to experience what it’s like to study at La Trobe, they can tour the Melbourne, Bendigo or Albury-Wodonga campuses in person from late November. Group sizes will be capped so Year 12s are encouraged to register early so not to miss out.

Bendigo Campus Talk & Tours – 22 November to 26 November

If students have a course in mind, this their chance to meet a course expert and find out what it’s like to study at La Trobe. Ask questions and get a taste of uni life. To learn when specific course tours are running and to book click here.

Melbourne Campus Tours – 6 December to 9 December 

Come explore labs or visit the moot court. In these tours, students can experience where they’ll be learning their chosen discipline. Tours are being offered across all disciplines with more info and bookings found here.

Albury-Wodonga Campus Talk & Tours – 6 December to 9 December

Explore what the Albury-Wodonga campus has to offer. Students are invited to come learn about the courses that interest them and extra support they can access. For session details and to book click here.

AWS Girls Tech Day 2021 – from November 13 to December 13

Join the AWS Girls’ Tech Day for a fun-filled tech program where you can explore coding, robotics, cloud computing, problem solving, and more! This virtual event will take you on your very own space mission and you'll experience an all-star lineup of speakers, hands-on learning sessions, and fun activities. The workshop activities are designed for ages 8-24 and so that each participant can go at their own pace to participate on-demand as many times as they like between November 13 – December 13. This program is free of charge to participants for a period of 30 days. To give you a sneak peek into this year program, AWS Girls’ Tech Day 2021 includes: 

  • Learn about coding through interactive sessions
  • Connect with our all-star lineup of women in tech and girls in STEAM
  • Discover how algorithms, machine learning, and cloud computing power Amazon’s fulfillment process
