SANTA’S COVID CHRISTMAS – A Keepsake of the Year, 2020

Judy Martin of Lexton wrote this beautiful children’s Christmas book as a keepsake of how the world was impacted during Covid-19 in 2020. The illustrations inside the book were all done by a local artist and past Waubra Primary School student, 14 year old Ballarat High School student Roza Mac who made Judy’s story come to life! Judy and Roza are proud to offer this book to our community as a fundraiser.

All orders and monies need to be returned to the office by Friday 26th November.  Books will be delivered by week 10.

Ballarat Carols SpringFest Market – Sunday 19th December

SpringFest has been thrown a lifeline and will be running a Sunday Market alongside the Ballarat Carols on Sunday 19th December.  As a beneficiary, Miners Rest K-6 need to provide a total of 20 volunteers.

The market will run from 2pm to 7.30pm with approximately 123 stall holders.  There are 10,000 tickets for the general public to attend.  How incredible for SpringFest to be involved!

To keep things nice and simple, there will be 3 shifts with 4 volunteers per shift:

                10.30am to 2.00pm

                2.00pm to 6.00pm

                6.00pm to 9.00pm

The duties required from the volunteers include helping stall holders find their space, keeping the areas tidy, answering any questions from the public, ensuring stall holders leave their space in a clean state.

Every volunteer is required to be double vaccinated and complete the Covid Marshall online training https://covid-19training.gov.au/login

Can you please let me the office know if you are available to help out and at which time slot?
